Privacy & cookies
This page explains what information ravenblood.org uses, why it is used, and the choices available to you. The site is operated by Lukas Maertens. Questions can be sent to info@ravenblood.org.
Your cookie choice
Marketing tracking is off by default. Your accept or reject choice is stored in your browser for up to six months so the site can remember it. This preference is necessary to respect your selection and is not used for advertising.
Optional Meta Pixel
If you accept marketing cookies, the site loads Meta Pixel ID 1107887801708966. It records page visits and selected actions such as viewing the Blackforge Law page, clicking an Amazon book link, completing the contact form, or completing a newsletter signup.
When active, Meta may receive information including the page address,
event details, browser and device information, IP address, and identifiers
stored by Meta such as _fbp or _fbc. This is used
to measure advertising performance and understand whether ads lead to
meaningful visits or actions. The legal basis for this tracking is your
consent. Rejecting it does not limit access to the site.
More information is available in Meta’s Privacy Policy and Meta’s Cookie Policy.
Newsletter
Newsletter forms are provided through Kit. If you subscribe, your email address is sent to Kit so the requested emails and free story can be delivered. You can unsubscribe through the link in any newsletter. See Kit’s Privacy Policy.
Contact form
The contact form is processed through Web3Forms. The details you submit are used only to receive and respond to your message. Do not include sensitive information that is not needed for your enquiry. See Web3Forms’ Privacy Policy.
External links
Links to Amazon, Goodreads, Meta, Kit, Web3Forms, and other external sites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Amazon purchases happen entirely on Amazon; ravenblood.org does not receive your payment or order details.
Server information and retention
The web server may process basic connection information, such as IP address, requested page, browser information, and timestamps, to deliver and secure the site. Newsletter information is retained until you unsubscribe or it is no longer needed. Contact messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry and related correspondence. Meta controls the retention of information it receives through its services.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal information, or object to certain processing. You may withdraw marketing-cookie consent at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. To make a privacy request, email info@ravenblood.org.
You may also contact the Belgian Data Protection Authority if you have concerns about how your information is handled.
